And no wardrobe is complete without the right pageant shoe!

These shoes come in an array of colors as well as styles: patent leather, metallic, suede etc.

Nude will pretty much go with any outfit you choose to wear.

Note: I would not tell contestants to wear this shoe on stage as it does have a tendency to slip off. They also look very formal and usually don't fit the on-stage segments of the pageant.

If you're looking for a shoe that won't draw too much attention then this is your go-to.

It's perfect if you're attending a casual or formal event and need a simple yet sexy shoe to complete your look.

And speaking of formal events, this shoe is also great for the Evening Gown competition; particularly, if your gown has a slit and your feet are showing. (You don't want the judges to be distracted by your shoes!)

If you could only get one color in this shoe, I would say get it in black or nude.

Note: If you will be doing a lot of standing, be wary of single sole shoes (ie. no platform) because these tend to place a LOT of pressure on the ball of your foot. In this case, I recommend getting this shoe with a platform. But if not definitely invest in some gel cushions.

Honorable mention: Sandals Thick Heel (single sole or without a platform)

This shoe is like the Stiletto Sandals except that it has a thick heel.

The Strappy Thick heel can also be found as a single sole or with platforms of different heights.

Side Note: The Chunk Platform heels are one of my faves because it’s super comfortable!

Chinese Laundry Tippy Tops

The most popular platform heel in pageantry is the Chinese Laundry Tippy Top heels.

They became hugely popular when Chinese Laundry became the official sponsor for Miss Universe and Miss USA.

Since then we have seen A LOT of the Tippy Top heels everywhere.

But are they really meant for every occasion?

Absolutely not.

The Tippy Top is a heel with a HUGE platform which can make it very distracting because it is so bulky to look at.

But, this Platform heel is a great option if you want to add some inches to your height.

It can be paired with your Evening Gowns which will help make you look statuesque.

But do yourself a favor and make sure it can't be seen too much.
