Chloe Powery-Doxey to Represent Cayman Islands at Miss Universe 2022

Miss Cayman Islands Universe 2022 1st Runner-up, Chloe Powery-Doxey

On Tuesday, November 8 2022, the Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee announced that 1st Runner-Up, Chloe Powery-Doxey will represent the Cayman Islands at the Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 14 2023. This announcement comes weeks after the Committee shared that they were preparing Ms. Powery-Doxey for the Miss Universe pageant in the event that the current titleholder, Tiffany Conolly would not be able to attend.

Ms. Conolly, the 2022 winner of the Cayman Islands Universe pageant, is on trial for a 2021 incident where she is facing two counts of common assault, two counts of damage to property, two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of disorderly conduct. Her trial began on October 17 2022 and she is expected to return to court on December 5 2022.

In the meantime, Ms. Conolly has been suspended from making any public appearances, leaving the duties of Miss Cayman Islands Universe to Ms. Powery-Doxey and 2nd Runner-up, Hayley Grizzle. Most recently Hayley was selected as the representative for the launch of Cayman Airways newest destination, Los Angeles.
