Mariah Tibbetts to Represent Cayman Islands at Miss Universe 2020 Pageant
Miss Cayman Islands Universe (MCIU) 2019 1st Runner Up, Mariah Tibbetts will represent the Cayman Islands at the next Miss Universe (MU) pageant.
The announcement was made on IG by the MCIU committee. The committee also confirmed that there will be no 2020 MCIU pageant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the MU organization has not released a pageant date, the committee is “delighted to have Mariah as our representative at the MU pageant.”
Mariah expressed, “I still can’t believe that I get to represent my beautiful islands on the international stage, but I hope to do so with poise, grace and valor. I am so grateful, proud and excited for this opportunity. I know this will be a crazy ride and I’m eager to take it all in!”
Mariah is a proud member of 100 Women in Finance, NextGen Cayman and became a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) in 2018.
Her accolades include being named a ‘Proud of Them’ Honouree in 2014; being Miss Teen Cayman Islands 1st Runner Up in 2011 and a Deloitte Scholarship Recipient in 2010.
My pageant coaching partner, Kristin Amaya and I trained Mariah for the 2019 MCIU pageant and we could not be more thrilled to see her represent our country on the MU stage.
Best of luck ‘riah!
