In an announcement made by the Miss World Organization (MWO), the 2020 Miss World pageant final has been postponed.

While MWO has not confirmed a new date, but does state that contestants and fans can look forward to it taking place in the latter part of 2021.

The global pandemic has made international travel difficult as many countries continue to have strict travel restrictions in order to protect their citizens.

As such, Chairman and CEO of Miss World Julia Morley, thought it pertinent to postpone this year's compeition, "We have made the decision to delay the 70th Miss World Final. Safety is paramount as we continue the fight against COVID-19."   

Although no host country or venue was shared, Morley did express, "We look forward to welcoming the Miss World family to our very special celebrations next year."
